Spectator Tips

ÞPlease do not smoke around balloons.  Propane is highly flammable.

ÞPlease do not touch the balloons as they are stretched out prior to inflation unless you have been invited to help as part of the chase crew.

ÞStand clear of any ropes or tether lines and do not hesitate to move young children if you are concerned for their safety.

ÞTraffic congestion delays the balloon chase vehicle from getting on track to it’s balloon.  Please be considerate about vehicle parking or stopping the traffic flow.

ÞPlease feel comfortable to approach a crew member (if they are not busy prior to launch) to ask questions.  After the flight is an even better time to make new friends . . . and gain knowledge.

ÞWatch out for moving chase vehicles.

ÞDo not enter private property without permission.  Once a balloon has landed, the crew chief must seek permission for the chase team and vehicle to enter the property.

ÞFollow all signs and traffic directions.

ÞArrive at the field early to watch the launch in order to avoid traffic congestion and the possibility of missing the launch.
